First Time Blogger.....

Well, I have finally taken the plunge and created my own blog.  I have been following several different blogs over the last few months and always have wanted to have my own but didn't feel that I ever had much to write about.  I typically follow decorating, organizing and family blogs.  I absolutely love to decorate and do DIY projects, but unfortunatley I am the visionary and my husband ends up doing DIY part (emphasis on the Y portion of that acronym as I can't cut a straight line to save my life), so a DIY themed blog didn't make sense as it would be projects that my husband completed. (we do quite a few projects so I am sure they will get in here somewhere)  I do love to organize but I only have so many closets to clean out and if I try and sell donate or throw out one more item in our house Kurt will need oxygen, as he likes to hold on to stuff (but that is a whole other post). So that leaves a family blog, but what would I write about? We are a very simple family and currently are consumed with taking care of our little man and oohing and ahhing over every sound and expression he makes. One night I woke up at 3am and thought I could tie everything together and write a blog from a workin mommas perspective! From what I have learned over the last four months,  being a mom is the hardest job on earth regardless if you stay at home or work. I have friends and family that have done/are doing one or the other and I look up to all of them.  I do not have a major opinion about what is considered "right" or "wrong" on this topic, I truly feel that you have to do what is best for you and your family, and right now what works for our family is for me to work as well as be the best mom I can be for Colin.  I have to focus on keeping everyting thing in balance during the week to  most of my evenings, weekends, vacations, holidays etc...with my two guys. Which is why I decided workin for the weekend would be an appropriate title! I hope you enjoy reading my ramblings.  I truly have no idea what direction this blog is going but I hope you enjoy learning a little about our family and how we try to manage everything with the help and guidance of the Lord!

P.S.  I am looking into getting a better design than the generic given by Blogger... definately not my style... wish me luck!
